Happy Fall Y’all,

My Paper Pumpkin kit arrived yesterday.  I immediately sat down and opened it up. I was so excited, I could not wait to see how cute this months kit was going to be.  I’m not disappointed, this kit is eveything I hoped it would be.

As usual I did not follow the instruction pamplet that comes with the kit.  Instead, I created an alternative project to share with YOU.

These little gable boxes are so cute that I can’t give them away.  Is that bad?  I don’t think its to bad since the kiddo’s who visit us on Holloween will receive one of those super cute coffin boxes that Stampin’ Up! currently carries in the Holiday catalog.

Because I love holiday decor I made this project.  These little boxes will add to my collection of Holloween decorations.  Every year Stampin’ Up! comes up with the cutest items for each holiday, collecting them year after year has paid off.  I have a good little collection.

Using the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies I spelled out happy holloween ( these dies are sold seperately).  Then I added each letters to alternating colored tags that come in the kit.  When I was done I added the lettered tags to the boxes.  I made sure to alternate the pattern boxes just to add to the whimsy.  Next I embellished the boxes with the webs, skelton hands and Mr. Bones, as I call him. The embellishments are set into place using those super cute black clothes pins.

After Holloween when I put these boxes away I can remove the embellishments store them inside of the boxes and keep everything safe from damage.

This kit was so easy to use that I actually sat on the couch and made this complete project in about an hour while watching Doctor Phil, LOL!
