Thank

Hello there my friends!  Welcome to my day of creating.

After my walk and doing some house chores this morning, I went out to my stamp studio and started to create.  I chose to work with the Monster Bash Suite.

Last night I made a fall card (not shown in this post) and that got me in the mood for crisp days, fall colors and Halloween.  Halloween gets a bad rap sometimes, but I happen to love it.  I think Halloween is a fun night for children and their families.

I love fall decor, pumpkins, mums, leaves, acorns, pinecones and all the things that go with the Halloween and  the Thanksgiving season.

My kids are all grown, however, I still decorate the house and we invite everyone over for Halloween dinner.  Of course, we serve pumpkin pie and whip for dessert.

We don’t get trick or treaters at our house, but I make special little packages for the kids in our lives and we hand them out personally.  This year I think I’m going to use my Paper Pumpkin kit to make those special treats.

I hope these cards demonstrate to you how fun Halloween can be.  The first card I made I was triying to give the feel of a library in a old mansion.  In my head, I could see a funny relatives picture hanging on the library wall.  I named him spooky, he is a nephew, LOL!  The books are a pattern from the Monster Bash Suite Designer Series Paper.  The frame is made from black Foil Sheets and the Heirloom dies/folders.  Dracula is from the stamp set in the suite and the decorative delicate design behind him is one of the many dies in the suites die set.

Candy is a big part of Halloween too so I made some poppers that will hold just about any candy I decide to use.  The poppers were made with the same product that I used to make card #1 plus some ribbon.

Now for the mommy in me.  Check the next card out.  Isn’t it cute?  Halloween can be adorable and sweet, it just depends on how you present it.  I don’t care for the blood and guts or scary stuff, I like a sweet, fun and even elegant Halloween.  Are you with me?

So this card says mummy, but when you open it up the true feel of the card is felt.  The red heart stands out, it gives you a hint about what’s inside.

Mummy LOVE!  Wouldn’t it be cute to send to your mom or to send to your kids?  I love, love, love this card.

Here is a close up of the poppers.  I used our new sparkly inks when stamping the sentiments.  I will fill a cute tray or basket with these poppers plus a few more and use them as home decor.  I start dressing our home for the holidays at the end of September so it is never to early to start creating.

Thanks for stopping by.
