Good afternoon! As I watch the news I hear of all the extream weather patterns around our country. Here in California, the weather is so nice. As I’m writing this it has started to rain. We need rain so that is a very good thing. California is at 100% of normal rainfall so far this year so no drought for us this year. Whew!
Yesterday’s weather was so beautiful that I wore a tee and a light sweatshirt. But as the day went on I had to remove my sweatshirt, I actually got warm.
This great weather reminds me of spring, my second favorite time of the year. I guess the feeling of spring put me in the mood to design the three cards that I’m sharing with you this week. Yesterday I shared card #1. Today I’m sharing card #2.
I sent this card out to one of my besties. She needs a little pick me up right now so this card was made with love just for her.
Here is the HOW TO:
I started this card by cutting my first layer piece @ 4 X 5-1/4 and placing the thinlit at the bottom. Then I ran it through the Big Shot to cut out the fancy overlay pattern that you see here.
Next, I placed this piece into my Stamparatus with the left edge at the 4″ mark. Then I grabbed my stamps. First, I placed the floral stamp onto the cut-out area. Make sure you are lining them up with the flowers that are cut out. Now closed the Stamparatus plate onto the stamp to grab it. Remove the top layer piece and lay down a second layer piece ( the second layer piece needs to be the same size as the first layer piece) in the same exact place (the 4-inch mark). Because your cardstock is in the exact place the first one was you are ready to stamp. Ink up your floral stamp and stamp. Now lay the greenery stamp onto the floral images that you just stamped lining them up. Close the other Stamparatus plate and grab the greenery stamp. Ink up your stamp and stamp. Voila! You have a line of gorgeous roses among sprigs and greenery. NOW for a total wow, lay your first cut out layer piece over the top. YES! This is truly OVER THE TOP beautiful.
I stamped the sentiment and then ran the cover layer through the Big Shot using the subtle folder.
I added three rows of ribbon to the top of the card and tied on a little knot. Now, adhere your two layer pieces together. All that you need now is your card base. After looking at the front of the card a Whisper White card base is what I selected.
I will be demonstrating this technique at my OPEN HOUSE. OPEN HOUSE is on Feb. 7th, at my place from noon until 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome please come! Come check out what this stamping thing is all about. I love OPEN HOUSE, it is a time to stamp with friends and a time to meet new friends all while crafting, snacking and drinking coffee or tea.
I’m really enjoying this bundle, it is gorgeous. I know you will love it too. Feel free to go to my online store and place your order. It is SALE A BRATION so with a $50.00 order ( before shipping and tax). You will qualify for free merchandise. Let me know if you need my help. I’m here for you.
