When you see the NEW early released Eastern Palace Suite by Stampin’ Up! you will think Eastern of course. This suite was inspired by the colors of a peacock and the elegance of a palace. While I like elegant ( a lot ), it’s in my nature to try and change things up a bit. With that said check out the samples I created. These cards a definitely NOT what was intended to be created with this suite.
The sample above focuses on a bright summer daisy, very crisp and clean. The whisper white, dapper denim and crushed curry colors just pop of off the card. This card is a sweet note to send anyone anytime. While the folder I used for the background is brick. The brick done in white made me think subway tile.
Now the card below. This card gets down to my country roots. I love sunflowers, woodgrain, texture and the nuteral colors in the Stampin’Up! color family. There is nothing Eastern on this card yet it was made with the Easter Palace Suite thinlits and stamps.
I hope my ideas peaked your interest, sparked your creativity or made you want to CASE them.
Now, baseball…. Yep that’s right you can even make a card that screams baseball with this set. Check this card out.
You will find the circle stamps that I used to create the ball in the Eastern Palace stamp set, crazy huh?
Now this card is closer to the Eastern look, but what is special on this card is the doilie. I used one of the thinlits in the Eastern Palace Suite to make this doilie more intricate then it already is. The original gold doilies have a solid center. I cut out the solid center using a thinlits. I think it’s so so pretty. I think this is a gorgeous thank you card. The sticker on the envelope, the dsp and the tassel are part of the suite too.
Last but definitely not least another summer card. This card is happy and bright. Everything except the linen thread and the background folder are in the suite. I love how this flower cuts into the card stock and the petals lift off the paper. All of the sentiments in this stamps set are adorable. I’ve stamp my envelopes, the front of the cards and the inside of the cards with the sentiments in this set. Stampin’ Up! Did a really good job on this one for sure. The stamps are photopolymer so the curved verses can be straighten if you want a straight line verse. That is what I did to make the stem of the sun flower.
Thanks for visiting with me. I know this post was long but I just had to share all of the EASTERN PALACE SUITE cards I have on display in my studio.
