Hi and Welcome,

I know, the title of this post sounds like I’m starting to write a letter, lol.  But Dear Doily is the name of this beautiful bundle and rightly so, you are going to love these dear dear doilies.

The other day, my friend and sidekick, Lori lent me her bundle because silly me had not ordered it.  Well, guess what?  After using Lori’s bundle, mine is on the way.

I love doilies, I use them all of the time, so why didn’t I order this bundle as soon as I saw it?  Who knows, but all is well now, it’s been shipped.

Look at how beautiful the large doily in the set is.  And even though the doily is ornate the pieces fall right out of the main image easily if you run the thinlit and cardstock through the Big Shot up and then back down (or twice).  Before you remove the thinlit from the cardstock turn it over to ensure that all of the detail has been cut.  Then run your Big Shot Die Brush over it.  Now all of the little pieces will drop out easily.

Two days ago I was talking to a friend.  I had not talked to her in quite a while.  After speaking with her it was clear that I needed to make a very special card and send it to her.  As a result, this card was created.

The card base is very vanilla.  I layered a second piece using very vanilla cardstock and embossed it using the subtle folder. The doily is also made using very vanilla cardstock.  I used dimensionals to pop the doily up off of the card which allows the doily to look free across the front.  The center of the doily was made with one of the stamps in the set and Blackberry Bliss ink.  I added a sweet pearl in the middle to add even more interest.  Look at the little centerpiece closely.  It is scalloped and just so cute, I love how the thinlits cut out the images so perfectly.

Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss markers were used to color the flowing flower stamp.  I bundled three flowers together to create a bouquet and then added a bow for even more dimension.  And yes, of course, there are thinlits to cut the flowers out too.

The beautiful sentiments that I used are from the SALE A BRATION stamp set Lasting Lily.  You can actually earn the Lasting Lily set FREE.  When you order this bundle it qualifies you to earn one free SALE A BRATION ITEM.

Looking at the bundle in the catalog may not catch your eye.  But when you realize how useful these doilies are and how gorgeous the flowers are, not to mention how nice the sentiments are.  You will want this bundle. I love the idea that I will never run out of doilies now.  I can use this thinlit with absolutely any cardstock to create just the perfect doily for the project I’m working on.

I know I said I made this card for my friend, and I did.  But I also made a second one so that when you come to my shop you can see it in person.
