Hello Friends, I want to make sure that you know about this great special. Buy 3 and get one free. There is no better way than to stock up on your favorites while they are on special.
The candles in this set are fun to use. I need to sit down and make a birthday card using these candles too. This set is very versatile. Good Job Stampin’ Up!
This stamp set is a two step stamp set. The first step is to stamp the outline and then the second step is to stamp the detail into the out line. Two step stamping may sound difficult but its not. Lining up the images is easy because the stamps are photopolymer, which means completely see through.
One of the stamps in this set is an outline of six candles. I stamped that image twice to create a line of 12 candles. Then the second step was to stamp the candles detail into the outline. There is even another stamp that is the candle flames. You don’t have to color in the flames in individually, YEAH!!! You just ink up the line of flames stamp and stamp them into the outline.
This card is loaded up with texture. The texture was accomplished by using embossing folders. Folders may be my favorite tool. Well that and punches. The two folders I used on this card are beauties that’s for sure.
I’m really surprised how much I love thin ribbon. However I do find myself doubling it a lot. I love the way a double bow looks. Double bows have so much more presents.
I used a corner rounder to dress up this card. Isn’t it funny how simply rounding corners can change the whole look of a card?
I hope that you are enjoying my saga of “Merry Patterns” samples. I just can’t put the set down, it’s a great one.

Punch Corner Project Life
When I first saw that the deer in the Merry Patterns stamp set was wearing a cable knit sweater I had to use the cable knit folder on my card. Well of course, that is a no brainer right? I think it looks amazing.
To create the look of an dark brown sweater I tapped Early Espresso Ink directly onto the folder, placed Very Vanilla card stock into the folder, and ran the product through the Big Shot. Adding ink to folders prior to placing card stock into them allows the image to emboss in color. Isn’t that fun!!!!
I wanted my deer to stand out. To accomplish that I stamped him onto a Stitched circle. Notice the sentiment “Merry Christmas”. Because the stamp set is Photopolymer you can bend the stamps when you apply them to a block. I love how the sentiment once it’s bent follows the stitch lines of the circle.
Those Box Wood Wreath embellishments are just the cutest things. I took a wreath apart by finding the end and uncoiling the wire. Then I cut it in half. Next I wrapped the Mini Tinsel Trim around the foliage. Finally I placed each half on either side of the stitched circle. My deer is dressed for the season with a bow placed right at his neck.
I think everyone is enjoying the close up pictures. You can see the detail much better, right?
Have a great day my friends. See ya tomorrow and Live Loved ~ Beverlee
I just love FREE stuff! Stampin’ Up! is offering an exclusive stamp set called ” Merry Patterns” to all who qualify and its FREE. This free set is in addition to the regular hostess gifts that you earn when you host an event that reaches $300.00 in sales.
My original design below is ONE of the cards I made as soon as my set arrived. I’ve made three cards so far. I will be showing you a card a day for the next three days.
In this first picture the photo shop lights didn’t let all the detail show up, so below the first picture I’m posting a close up so you can see the YUMMY DETAIL.
I don’t think I’ve ever had so many beautiful Christmas stamp sets to choose from. This years Holiday Catalog has so many choices. And now in addition to everything else we have this marvoleous stamp set.
So far I’ve made cards using the greeting and the deer in the set. I still have to create using the candles. I’m excited to see all the different looks you can create The embellishments in both the Holiday Catalog and the Annual catalog just add even more yumminess.
So what do you think? I’m sure you already have the wood plank folder. You most likely have all the inks, Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler. Check out the Black Rhinestone Jewels. Those jewels are actually in the Halloween section of the Holiday catty page 53, but look at how great they look with this set. The black just pops.
I’m thrilled with this freebie, I hope you get a chance to earn it too. Grab some friends, order together to create the required amount. Host a class, workshop or splurge and get all the things you need and want so that you qualify. I can not list the stamp set in the product list because it can not be purchased. “Merry Pattern Stamp Set” will automatically be added to your order once you qualify. The deadline is October 31st.
