Wish For It All

Good morning America,

Today I’m sharing a story about the stamp set ” Wish For It All”.  This set was the last bundle that I ordered when I placed my first order from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. Why did I debate with myself about ordering this one?  Well, I really really liked it, but I thought to myself how easy it is going to be to use?  Then I thought, but it’s so cute, so lacy, and the images are so large.  It has all of the things I like in a bundle.  So I  decided to order it.  BOY!!!!! am I glad that I did.  I think that this is the easiest die set to use in the whole catalog.  Seriously.

I made the three cards I’m showing you today, last night while watching the first two innings of the Giants game.  They came together very quickly.  I love how simple, clean and sleek all of the cards are.  I also like the fact that they can be used to celebrate literally anyone.

There are a lot more images to this bundle, I still have not used the candles and the crown dies. I still have not used the cake image in the stamp set.   I plan on creating with those items first thing this morning.  I’m so excited.

The first piece I wanted to work last night was the cone shape die.  When I saw the dies I thought that the cone shape was an ice cream cone.  But I guess the cone shape was intended to be a party hat.  There are two little flower dies in the set that can be a pom for the top of the cone/hat.  So see what I mean about the versatility of this bundle

,  there are already two uses for that cone, AWESOME!!!!

I made the Ice Cream first.  Cute don’t you think? I even made the ice cream a scoop of sherbert, because sherbert is better for you, lol.

For the cone, I purposely left most of the little cut out pieces in the cone.  I’ve never done that before to any other die cut, but I really like the look.   Adding the polka dot ribbon just topped off the cuteness.  I think this is my favorite Birthday set EVER!!!

In addition, I used the  eyelet lace folder to give texture to the Ice Cream.  You can NEVER have to much lace right?  I’m finding the new eyelet lace folder is very useful to use as the texture on smaller pieces, but that my friends is another story.

Next, I used the cone to make the intended party hat.  The little pom is so cute.  I can see using the poms ( there are two pom dies in the set) as flowers.  And using the banner as the brim of the hat, oooooh so cute.  One of my favorite things about this bundle is that two of the sentiments in the stamp set are curved!

Every celebration needs cupcakes, right?  Well, this lacy, pretty cupcake is right up my ally.  I love the round doily images.  I love that when I cut the doily in half that I can use it as the cake.  Holy cow this is one fancy cupcake, perfect for the girlfriends in your life.

That subtle folder and the rectangle stitched dies always add so much to a card.  I think you know that I use the subtle folder more than any other craft item in my arsenal.

I hope you enjoyed your visit here with me today.  Let me know what you think about my creations.

To A Wild Rose and OPEN HOUSE

Good day, my friends.  I would like to start this post by taking a moment to say welcome to my new subscribers.  I’m thrilled that you want to spend a little bit of your time with me.  Thank you ALL for joining me.

Today I’m featuring the new stamp set, To A Wild Rose.  You can find this set and the coordinating dies in the NEW Stampin’ Up! catalog on page 141. If you don’t have a catalog yet you can click on the catalog image on my sideboard to view it and if you do not already have a demonstrator let me know that you would like to become one of my customers and I will get a catalog into your hands.

I made the card you see here using one of the new In-Colors Rococo Rose.  The bundle created the images and the subtle folder along with heart shape epoxy elements help accentuate the look.

Isn’t the rose color beautiful? I believe I will be using it a lot.  The new In Colors are stunning, I’m very happy with all of them.  As for the bundle, it was one of the first items that I selected to purchase.  I especially love the word BLESSED in the set.  I love its font, the size and of course, it’s meaning.

Tomorrow is OPEN HOUSE and everyone who attends will be making this card.  I open at noon and close at 8 p.m.  All you need to do is RSVP to attend.  Bring your clear acrylics to use with the Big Shot.  Each card ( other than the make and take) that you make using my product is $3.00.  Or, bring your own product and get caught up on your projects.

My DOLLAR SPOT opens tomorrow too, so be the first to get your hands on those cards.

Hopefully, you can attend tomorrow.  YES bring your friends.  See ya then.
