Stitched Felt Embellishments

As I mentioned before,  I love the Stitched Felt Embellishments and the Boxwood Wreaths.  I also said that I had a bunch of ideas on how to use them.  Tonight I’m showing you another quick and easy way to add the Christmas spirit to little linen bags.

BAG NUMBER 1

This bag shows off the Boxwood Wreath as well as the Real Red 1/8″ Ribbon.  Every bag shows off the Mini Tinsel Trim.  The trim is a combo pack and comes in Real Red and Silver.

BAG NUMBER 2

Oh Christmas Tree…. I added a Rhinestone to the top and a twig and bow to the bottom that is it.

As I was getting ready to snap a photo I tied the bags together.  WOW a garland!  To cute.  I will add more bags to these until I come up with a length that I like.  Sweet, don’t ya think?

BAG NUMBER 3

Holly.  Simple sweet and very festive.

BAG NUMBER 4

The star of the show, just add a Rhinestone.

What an easy project. I’m very pleased.  Come see it in person tomorrow at OPEN HOUSE.  I’m open from noon until 8p.m

NOEL

Today I’m sharing my NOEL project with you.

When I see embellishments like these in our catalogs I automatically think of 3-D projects.  I ordered a few packs of the Mini Ornaments, the Stitched Felt Embellishments and the Wreaths.  The 1/8″ Real Red Ribbon is perfect for any project or on cards so I bought a spool of that too.  Burlap is a medium that I always love so I complimented a few of the Stitched Felt Embellishments with it.

The letters are a great size however they were a little blah.  I sprayed them with an adhesive and then sprinkled them with a large grade glitter.  Once the letters were dry I added the embellishments.

I think it turned out great.

A close up for you.

Ribbons and Bows

Happy Wednesday stamping friends!  Today I decided to make a 3-D item using Stampin’ Up! product.  The picture below shows you a close up of all of the ribbons that I used to transform an embroidery hoop into Halloween decor.

Notice that the Peekaboo Peach ribbon is crinkled.  The crinkle in this seam binding ribbon adds a touch of vintage to any project.  Another thing you will want to know about this ribbon is that it comes in all of the NEW IN-COLORS too.

The Berry Burst ribbon is a 1/2″ wide and woven.  It’s gorgeous.  The thick Jute Twine, oh my gosh, I’m so excited that Stampin’ Up! has jute in the Holiday catalog.  This hoop can securely hang anywhere from this Jute.

Embellishing the inside metal ring of the embroidery hoop was easy, I used multipurpose glue to secure the 7/8″ wide Striped Ribbon to it.  Then I tucked the inside ring  into the outer ring.  Because the Striped ribbon is much wider than the width of the rings it hangs over nicely.  Next, I embellished the outside ring with the Victorian Lace Trim.  The trim is so pretty and feminine. It also was secured with multipurpose glue.  You are going to love all of the ribbons, they truly are beautiful.  A variety of Stampin’ Up! ribbon transformed the embroidery hoop into a festive ring of holiday color.

Now, about the focal point.  A  3 x 3 square of polka dot Designer Series Paper holds a smaller stitched square of Peekaboo Peach card stock and a circle of Berry Burst card stock.  All of those items back the black cat. I sponged the circle just to add a bit of interest and texture.

You will find this black cat in the same Designer Series Pack as the polka dot paper.  Yes, there are a couple of 12×12 sheets of paper patterned with these cat images.  The cats were printed to coordinate with the cat punch.  All we have to do is punch the cats out,  Awesome huh?

The cat shimmers because I colored him with Wink of Stella.  Black Rhinestones, Bitty Bows and spider webs all contributed to the finished product.

3-D items are fun to make.  You can decorate your home with them or give them as gifts.

Thanks for stopping in, I hope you enjoyed visiting.

By the way, I love the comments I’ve been receiving lately.  Thank you for using the comment section to tell me how you feel and for asking questions.

Country Snowflake

Serendipity, yes it was.  I had a piece of card stock stamped with the burlap background stamp laying on my desk.  I picked it up and wondered what a burlap snowflake would look like.  So I tried it.   I loved it immediately, but I love a country feel.  I didn’t know if anyone else would like this card or not but I put it on Facebook and it seems to be  pretty popular.

Because of this cards popularity I thought I better share it with you.  If you want a super simple Christmas card and you like a soft country feel this card is for you.

The items below will be available on September 1-2017

Christine’s Gift

Yesterday was my first day of training with my new recruit Christine.  I wanted to welcome Christine to my team with a gift so I made her this necklace.  I must tell you how I came across this idea.  One of my dear friends Liz Isa gave me a ton of vintage wooden spools, then she sent me an email with a Pinterest idea on what to do with them.  Liz  sure knows me, I loved the spools and I definitely loved the necklace idea.

So the other day I made this necklace using Stamping Up’s ” Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper” and one of the spools that Liz gave me.   This Designer Series paper pack includes 24 sheets of  lightweight sheets of paper printed with traditional Christmas carols: 4 each of 6 double sided designs. The paper is 12 x 12 acid free, lignin free, Basic Black and Whisper White in color.

Christine loved her necklace, I was so glad.  She loved the idea of wearing a necklace made with Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper.  Liz and I need a necklace too so I will making more necklaces hopefully today.

Have a great weekend my friends,
