Panel Card with Belly Band Facebook Live Replay

Good morning friends,  Before I get to far into this post, I want to thank everyone for being so understanding.  Last week I did not host a Facebook Live because I had a rare chance to go see my middle daughter.  We had a wonderful time and I’m so grateful that you all came back last night to catch my Live presentation.  Allison thanks you too.

A few months ago I came across a card on youtube that I found very interesting.  I just had to case the unique fold of this card.  I wanted to add my own touches, so I embellished them with papers, dies and stamps that I have.

In my excitement, I didn’t write down the name of the person who I cased this fold from ( shame on me) and as it turns out I can’t find her again.  I will keep trying and if I find her I will update this post.

I hope you enjoy the replay of my Sunday night Facebook Live, kick back and enjoy!

In addition, I added some pictures of the card I made last night plus a few others that I designed.

These cards are larger than the standard card they are 7X10 when unfolded.  This design can use a variety of designer series papers as well as be layered using foils.  If you want to use regular cardstock for your panels you certainly can.  Just use folder to dry emboss it or stamp on the cardstock.  There are so many possibilities, go for it.  In fact, if you make one, I would love to see your creations.

To make these cards you will need:

One 8-1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock.  This piece makes the base and the belly band.

You will also need a 12 x 12 piece of DSP.  You will cut the dsp up to make your panels.

Here are the sizes of the of cardstock and dsp you will need

For the belly band card stock cut to  1-1/2 x 11

For the front two panels and two of the INSIDE panels ( the ones on both ends) you will need 4 pieces cut four pieces to 2 x 6-1/2

For the next two inside panels, you will need two pieces cut to 1-1/2 x 6-1/2

For the very center you need one piece cut to 1/2 x 6-1/2

If you want to layer onto the base panels, cut the layer sizes down by 1/4 inch both by width and length.

Adding foil paper as the base layer and then dsp as the second layers is a stunning look.  You may want to try that. I layered that way on the Christmas Card.

The inside panels are made from cardstock to save on designer series paper.  I embossed the cardstock using the Pinewood Plank folder.

This card has a foil panel layer as well as a designer series panel layer.

I layered this butterfly card twice too, it adds a lot.

Below is a product list for the items I used to make all three of these cards.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Facebook Live Bath and Body Works Packaging replay

Thank you to all, I’m glad you enjoyed Sunday night’s Facebook Live.  Many have asked for the written dimensions of the lotion holder so here it is.

You will need:

1 – 12 x 12 piece of Very Vanilla or Whisper White  cardstock

1- 8-12 x 11 piece of Verry Vanilla or Whisper White  card stock

For the box that goes around your  8 oz bottle of lotion cut your 12 x 12 piece of cardstock down to 3-1/2 x 12 ( you can make 3 from 1 sheet).  Lay your cardstock landscape and score at 5-1/4 and 6-3/4.  Burnish your score lines using your bone folder.  Now set your lotion into the holder to make sure it fits well between the score lines.

For the insert and the top of the holder: Cut two pieces of card stock from your 8-1/2 X 11 sheet down to 3-1/2 x 2-1/2. Lay your cardstock portrait style and score 1/2″ on both sides.  Place your number 5 oval die in the middle ( portrait style) of the score lines and cut out both ovals all at once.

Burnish your score lines and add the tear and tape to all four tabs

Embellish the front of the box as desired.  Make sure you stamp everything onto the box prior to assembly.

Add the insert and the top to the box.  Work slowly and make sure everything is lined up.  Add your lotion and stand back and give yourself a round of applause!!!!

Have fun and let me know if you need any other assistance.
