Yesterday I received a gift via snail mail from my dear friend Karen Flores.   After I opened my package this ornament was passed around.  My family was here and we all got to admire it front and back. On the back there is a photo of Karen and I from back in the day.  Isn’t that the cutest idea ever?

Morgan had the honor of placing the ornament on the Christmas tree.  The Christmas tree in our den has homemade ornaments on it, so this one made the cut.  I love my Stampin’ Up Christmas tree,  every year I get more and more home crafted ornaments to place on it.  The tree is filling up!

I have so much fun adorning this tree and remembering who made or gave the ornaments to us. While decorating I can’t help but  think about the special friendships in our lives.

Karen colored in the adorable images with Stampin’ Blends.  The dazzling diamonds glitter looks so perfect on this ornament.  I love everything about it.

In addition to the ornament there was a coordinating card in my goodie package.  This card is so darn cute!  I love the style, the vintage look, the colors EVERYTHING!  Thank you Karen.

All my guest stampers have touched my heart.  Friends are a blessing from God.  When I count my blessings I get overwhelmed.  Thank you Jesus and Happy Birthday!

The other day when I came home there was a package and card on my porch.  Every year Sandy sneaks by and drops off a Christmas surprise.  Check out this card, OH MY WORD it is gorgeous.  This stamp set is gorgeous and a card made with the eclipse technique and this set is even prettier.

I first met Sandy when her daughter in law invited her to my OPEN HOUSE ( the first Thursday of each month).  Sandy went CRAZY in my studio.  She loved everything.  Well, when you love everything you sign up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator right?  Yep that is what she did.

Sandy is one of my top sellers, she is sooooo good at everything she does.  We have become great friends,  I admire her, she is a dedicated, hard working, self motivated, independent, strong woman.  I love watching her and learning from her.  She is a great example of determination and success.  On the personal side Sandy is sweet, we have fun every time we go to lunch or when we just visit. I’ve attended her classes and she not only teaches well, everyone  have so much fun.   I love having Sandy on my team, but even more I cherish her friendship.

Sandy’s stamping talent speaks for itself, all of her work is perfect!

I just love it when my customers/friends come over and share their work with me. Sharrone’ Trent and I have been friends for many years.  Sharrone’ used to buy envelopes from me.  One day when she came to pick some up I asked her if she would like to see my shop and if she would like to take home catalogs.  Well, to make a long story short we have been friends ever since.

Sharrone’ comes to OPEN HOUSE (which is the first Thursday of every month from noon until 8p.m) regularly and always has an agenda.  This gal wastes no time.   At this months OPEN HOUSE Sharrone’ asked me to show her how to make poinsettias with SU ribbon.  She caught on right away and ran with it.

The other day Sharrone’ brought by some of her creations.  I had to take a picture of these beauties to share with you.  Aren’t they lovely?  Sharrone’s work is gorgeous.   Thank you for sharing Sharrone, I love them all.

Cup of Cheer

Hello my friends!  Today is the last OPEN HOUSE of 2017, can you believe that this year is almost over?  All my guests who come to open house today will get to make this cute cup of cheer absolutely FREE just for coming.

You can fill these cups with candy, a gift card, or a little bottle of spirits.  I bet you can think of many more gift ideas that would fit into this full size coffee cup.

Plaid is all the rage right now so this old olive and basic black designer series paper works nicely on this project.

Making this gift cup is quick a easy.  So if you need a last minute idea this is a good one.

Wintery Christmas

The star of this show is Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and I love it.  To show you how sparkly this card really is I took a close up picture.  Can you see all of that sparkle?  Wait until you see this one in person.

I made two bows for this card (one larger than the other) and layered them onto each other.  The fullness that two bows create is gorgeous. To complete the topper for the wreath  I placed the bows onto Christmas colored foliage.  Once I had all of the foliage and lace adhered to each other I sprayed everything with a spray adhesive.  Lastly I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter generously all over the cluster of embellishments.  The effect of the glitter is stunning.  Every time I walk by this card it catches my eye.

To give this card a rustic look, I added a small piece of faux wood under the wreath.  I’m so happy with the touch of wood.   It added just the right touch.  Finally I used a boarder stamp from the Touches of Texture stamp set and Soft Suede Ink to enhance the layered edges of this card.   Whisper White card stock acts as a cold winter suggestion.

This card was cased.  I changed it up a lot but the original designer was genius when she made this framelit into a wreath.  I give thanks to her.

This wintery Christmas card is one of the three projects that my Super Stamper Group will make on Nov. 29th…. we are going to have a blast.  In addition to the seven group members we have two guests coming.  This is going to be a fun and special stamp day.
