Hi there! As you know I’m working on a special order for a friend. For that order, I cut out 10 of these crosses. When I was taking the little pieces out of them I collected them on a plate to avoid a mess. As a pile of the little pieces built up, they reminded me of a pretty flower blossom. I know, I know, call me crazy.
With this idea fresh in my mind out to my studio, I went. I cut out a decorative stem with leaves. I cut out a base for my focal point and then I put it all together. Next, I added a dollop of hot glue to the area that I wanted my blooms to be. While the glue was still hot I sprinkled on my bits and pieces to form the flowers. I let it set a minute added a little more glue and sprinkled on more bits.
I think this is a great way to use up all those bits and pieces. What do you think?
Now, let’s look at the background of this card. In person, it almost looks like velvet. I absolutely adore this new color Gorgeous Grape. Lemon Lime Twist looks so good with the grape color, it’s so bright and cheery.
From now on when I take little pieces out of a thinlit I will save them in my empty embossing powder jars. This card was so easy to make I think I will be duplicating it often.
