Hi there! Thank you for hopping over to the color fusers blog hop today, we love having each and everyone one of you. This month we are sharing projects that you can make using these five new and fun to use colors. These colors are very bright and when you group them together they bring life to each other.
Isn’t this new stamp set ” Love You To Pieces” darling? Pairing this set with these colors works perfectly. I honestly made these project very quickly because everything just came together nicely.
I started out by cutting out the individual puzzle pieces. I cut one of each color. Then I stacked them onto each other using dimensionals. I liked them stacked. I also like one facing one way and the next piece facing the other. The cluster of puzzle pieces is a cute focal point.
Because the cluster needed a base I used the large puzzle thinlit to create a base. I use whisper white cardstock for that and then backed the white puzzle with basic black cardstock. The third thing I did was stamp the sentiment. Because the main puzzle was backed in black I also mounted the sentiment onto basic black cardstock.
Next, I thought about how I would lay everything out. I cut the card base from Lovely Lipstick cardstock. Then, I cut a layering piece of the same color and embossed it using the Striped Scallops folder and the Big Shot. Once my card base and layering piece were together I just built the card. I put the big white puzzle down, then the cluster of pieces and lastly the sentiment. The sentiment is lifted too.
The puzzle pieces in this set are just so darn cute. The pieces are such a great size and you can use them in so many ways. On this card, each puzzle piece was brushed with Wink of Stella. The Wink of Stela made each piece sparkle and that stepped up the look. For just a bit more bling I added a snippet of Silver Mini Sequin Trim.
After making the card I started thinking about a goodie box. I grabbed one of our clear acrylic boxes and started to design. I was thinking that the heart could be used for Valentines. So I started my project with that in mind.
Oh, my my, what a cute box. I’m thinking Candy Kisses would fill this box nicely. To start I just punched a small hole in the lid of the box and slid a striped stick into the hole. I want the stick to stand up straight so I added a mini glue dot to the bottom and pressed it down. Now it stands straight and firm. With the stick secured I stamped and cut out the heart then mounted it onto a scalloped square. I added liquid glue to the stick, let it get tacky and then stuck the sentiment on. I wanted a cute bow to dress everything up so I used the White Polka Dot Ribbon. This ribbon is so stinkin cute. I find that it can be whimsical or elegant, it just depends on the project you add it to. Lastly, I added a puzzle piece to each side of the box. I used glue dots to secure them.
